Will he or Won't he?
Has Brett Favre really retired this time? Is he willing to leave after his third straight season where he threw an interception to end the game the last 3 seasons? I am going to say NO he hasn't. As of this posting Brett has not come out publicly to deny or confirm the rumor. Most people agree that until the season starts never say never about Favre. Even if Brett played just some of the game this season the Vikings would be better off. Tarvis is not the answer. Mr Spice Sage Rosenthol is not the answer either. I don't know much about the kid that drafted from UAB but I am sure he is not the short term answer either. Vikings messed up really bad by not getting a backup plan in place. The Vikings could have had qb's like Mcnabb, Campbell, Vick, and Bulger. Mcnabb no doubt is the best of those but anyone of those guys would have given the vikes a chance with what they have to surround the qb. What the vikes have now minus Favre will not get the job done and help them compete with the Cowboys or the Saints who I believe are front runners to represent the NFC in the Superbowl this season. Bottom line Favre will likely be back in some shape or form this season.
