OKC Bringing a Thunderstorm to the NBA for Years to Come.

The Oklahoma City Thunder fell a few games short of winning a World Championship. They lost to the Miami Heat in 5 games. While that is disappointing for the young team, they showed that they will be a team beat for years to come. The Thunder had a very tough route to the Finals. In the first round of the playoffs they met up with last years champion Dallas Mavericks. They sweep them in 4 games. In the second round they matched up against the LA Lakers. They beat them in 5 games. The Western Conference Finals were a bit tougher. The Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs in 6 games to become the Western Conference Champions. The finals didn't go the way the Thunder had hoped. After winning game 1 in OKC, Miami went on to win 4 straight games and win the NBA Finals in 5 games. Though they fell short they showed great potential for the future. If OKC can keep the core together of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden they will be able to build around them and put together multiple runs to and hopefully for titles. With free agency that will be a very tough task to do. The experience the team earned this year should prove to be crucial to their future success. The Thunder should also get a boost next season when Eric Maynor returns from injury. The Thunder should be a Western Conference powerhouse for years to come. THUNDERUP!
