ESPN had continuous coverage of Mr. Wishywashy aka Brett Farve. Apparently he is back or at least back in Minnesota with the team. All of the major sports networks and hardcore sports folks have been hanging on to Farve"s surgically repaired ankle for months now. Farve Watch was in full effect today as all the reports were coming in about several viking players going to Mississippi to talk him into coming back. They know they are barely a playoff team with out Farve but with him even for part of the season and the playoffs they could be a Super Bowl contender. Mr. Wishywashy wasn't the only story the national media was talking about way to much and blowing out of proportion. Arkansas was in the national media for all the wrong reasons today. A reporter by the name of Renee Gork aka the Gator Hat lady was fired today from her job because she wore a gator hat to a razorback press conference. That is at least what the national media thinks. Yes that was part of it unfortunately, but she also broke rules about texting and tweeting during practices for the hogs. The Razorbacks have a policy of no phones or cameras during practice. One of her tweet on her personal account was about wishing she was covering gator practices. That played a lot into the GM of the stations decision. The rest was based on the hat because Bobby Petrino head hog asked her stay away for a few days to let things calm down after the comment he said about not answering questions wearing that hat she had on. Because she wasn't able to attend practices her GM fired her. The University of Arkansas never came out and said she should be fired they just asked her stay away a few days while her GM made the call because of not getting any work from her. I heard her interview with Dan Patrick where he tried to get multiple angles from the sitution she tried to dance around the topic of her tweeting. In other interviews she nor the interview mentioned the tweeting. They keep focusing on the hat. Bottom Line people should gather all the facts before passing judgement but this is America we think we are right about everything. You Decide!
Here is a link to a great article about the whole hat debacle. Several clips of interviews.

You are exactly right. There are always (at least) three sides to every story....yours, mine, and the truth (which is usually a mix of both sides' so-called truths). That is why I never bother with the media's coverage of generally anything. If there is a topic being covered that even remotely interests me, I will generally do my own research on the topic and make up my own mind. News should be objective- instead, I feel that most news today has, in general, a biased spin on on every story. Therefore, I have as much trust in most media as I do in the National Enquirer. Just my opinion....
